Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Sports Illustrated magazine presents this special collector's edition commemorating the Chicago White Sox World Series championship and the team's rich and colorful history. Highlights of this 84-page special issue include:

  • "Song of the South Side": Chicagoan Andrew Lawrence on how this glorious run made it OK to be a Sox fan.
  • "Living Out Loud": Outspoken White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen has made the South Side exciting again.
  • "Legend in the Making": Scott Podsednik is proving he's got what it takes to be the big man of small ball.
  • "Sweet Home, Chicago": Famously shoeless, oft clueless, and now peerless, the Sox have a tale like no other. Plus, SI's choices for the all-time Sox team. Players include Carlton Fisk, C; Frank Thomas, 1B; Eddie Collins, 2B; Luke Appling, SS; Robin Ventura, 3B; Minnie Minoso, LF; Jim Landis, CF; Joe Jackson, RF; Harold Baines, DH; Ted Lyons, RHP; and Billy Pierce, LHP.
  • "South Side Specials": A gallery of SI White Sox covers.
  • "Mighty Minoso": The ageless octogenarian celebrates his first World Series ring.

The condition of the cover was less than mint. Significant amount of the ink was smudged off the cover. Some rough corners too.
